Martin Grimer to leave Blue Marlin

Blue Marlin executive creative director Martin Grimer is leaving the consultancy for an as-yet undisclosed venture – his role will not be replaced.

Grimer, who has been at Blue Marlin for five years, says, ‘After five years it is time for a new challenge for me. All I can say is: watch this space.’

Blue Marlin says it has shortlisted five people to replace Grimer and lead the London studio, although the executive creative director role will not be filled.

Blue Marlin co-founder and global HR director David Hodgson says, ‘We are in a strong place and no longer need someone to oversee the creative output from our studios across the world.’

The consultancy’s chief executive and group managing director Andrew Eyles says, ‘We are sad to see [Martin] leave, but he’s done a great deal for us and we appreciate his need for a new creative challenge.

‘The new creative director can look forward to leading a very robust studio, brimming with creativity and hungry to achieve even more.’
