University of Ulster seeks designers

The University of Ulster is seeking designers to work on a number of print and digital projects.

The university is asking for submissions to four lots: small- to medium-sized design jobs up to £1500; large design jobs worth more than £1500; design for digital/interactive media; and design for additional promotional materials/media.

The university says, ‘While some of our creative requirements can be provided by in-house designers, the volume of materials produced on an annual basis necessitates that we also purchase external services in this area.’

It adds, ‘While we still print a large amount of our promotional materials, we are increasingly looking at more cost-effective online solutions to communicate with our audiences worldwide.

’Therefore, in addition to more traditional design for print, we have a requirement to work with multimedia designers who can contribute towards the redevelopment of our online style and functionality over the period of this contract.’

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 27 May, and the contract is set to run from 1 September 2010 to 31 August 2014.
