According to Earth managing director Martin Johnston, the consultancy approached the Somerset House Trust after the trust had seen pitches from several consultancies. It was appointed in November 2010.
‘We offered full analysis of its website then presented this to Somerset House,’ says Johnston.
The Somerset House Trust asked Earth to reassess how it communicates with artists, sponsors and the general public.
Earth says, ‘The trust felt a new website should work harder by seamlessly connecting visitors, exhibitors and events organisers in an engaging, interactive dialogue.’
For Johnston the new website will make everything ‘easier to find’. He says, ‘Each page hangs off the other, encouraging a journey so that nothing remains hidden. They have so many facets and we need to promote them all.’
