The lost collection

As you might imagine, Design Week receives a heap of press releases, promotional packs and mail-outs every week keeping us informed of all of the goings-on in the design world. So it’s always refreshing when we receive something out of the ordinary.

In the post bag this morning came this quirky release, advertising the upcoming The Lost Collection show at London’s KK Outlet. The show features work that has been abandoned on London’s tubes, buses, overground trains and black cabs by a host of anonymous artists, all found at Transport for London’s lost property office.

The release, which was designed in-house by KK Outlet’s Emma Morton, features a tube of Transport for London branded paint complete with identity tag and sealed in a vacuum pack bag.

It’s a well-executed, fun idea that ties in well with the quirk of the exhibition. It certainly got our attention.

The Lost Collection runs from 2-30 June at KK Outlet, 42 Hoxton Square, London N1.
