The products, which will be sold in outlets such as Boots online and pharmacies, are used to help support recovery of new tattoos or shield existing ones from the elements. There are initially two products in the range – Forever Ink Balm and Forever Ink Shield.
Anthem Worldwide was appointed to the project having previously worked with Forever Ink parent company Forest Labs.
It has created the branding, website and app for the range. The logo, illustrated by tattoo artist Louis Molloy is loosely based on David Beckham’s angel wings tattoo, representing a ‘guardian angel’, according to Anthem Worldwide. This is shown across all touch points including packaging, the website, stockist stickers, bags and collateral such as tattooing gloves.
Anthem Worldwide has also developed the social media presence for Forever Ink, which includes an app that gives advice offering a tattoo aftercare healing plan. It uses GPS to detect what the weather is like and what aftercare to use for those conditions.
The website features an Instagram-linked ‘inspiration’ page of images submitted by users of their own tattoos or images that may prove inspiring for those looking to get one. There is also advice on caring for tattoos featuring video content.
