Blisters: The Directors Cut
Print Club London is all set to host the 2012 edition of Blisters, its annual summer show, and this year there’s a cinematic theme.
Blisters: The Directors Cut, will bring together 40 screenprints from established and up-and-coming artists – all of which are inspired by movies.
The artists weren’t allowed to use the title of the film at all, and each piece had to stand alone as an image/scene or typography work.
Movies that have received the Blisters treatment include Metropolis, Star Wars and Back to the Future (in the Marty McFly montage seen here).
Contributors to this year’s Blisters show include James Joyce, Jess Wilson, Kate Moross and Si Scott, and all prints will be available to buy for £40 each.
Blisters: The Directors Cut, is at Print Club London, Unit 3, Millers Avenue, London E8, from 31 August-1 September.
