David Bowie Nacht Musik
Nacht Musik is a fortuitously planned, rather than hastily cobbled, exhibition and collectors catalogue spotlighting 45 7” David Bowie single covers.
Organised by vinyl aficionados The Vinyl Factory and punk curator and collectors The Mott Collection, Nacht Musik presents Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke, and through the Berlin years – with a weighting toward the latter.
This period, in the mid to late 70s, was one of his most prolific, and the inspiration for his nostalgic new single Where Are We Now? which features cover design by Barnbrook.
The exhibition is really a celebration of the photographers, artists and designers behind each incarnation, graphic representation and shoot.
The collection of 45 7” singles will be framed and sold as artworks and the Vinyl Factory has created a commemorative catalogue, limited to a run of 300, showing artwork from 45 Bowie singles, and also containing a 7” single of a Bowie interview.
David Bowie Nacht Musik will be held at The Vinyl Factory Chelsea, 91 Walton St, SW3 from 7 February – 4 March
