This will begin with newly designed seats and cabin interiors on new Boeing 777-300ERs, before the same is done for new Airbus A350s and Boeing 787s, with the possibility of retrofitting the current fleet.

JPA which has offices in London and Singapore, and won a pitch for the work, is now working on a new business class seat which Singapore Airlines says will offer  ‘improved comfort in both seating and sleeping positions, and more stowage space to cater for the changing needs of business travellers.’

Designworks USA is working on the first class seat and cabin environment of the B777-300ERs, which will enter service in the second half of 2013.

‘In addition to ambiance improvements, a revamped seat will feature more privacy and personal stowage space, and improved seating comfort,’ according to Singapore Airlines.

Singapore Airlines is not reviewing its economy class, but it is looking to make improvements to its entertainment and connectivity offerings and lighting design.
