Mark brands Blog North
Manchester-based consultancy Mark has created a new identity for the Blog North organisation.
The network has developed from the Manchester Blog Awards and aims to promote good writing, also running an awards scheme – the Blog North Awards.
Mark Lester, creative director at Mark, says the consultancy has developed a typographic identity and branding for the organisation.
He says, ‘In its simplest form its based on a keyboard typeface.’
Lester says the flexible identity can be used for different touchpoints such as posters, mugs, T-shirts and USB sticks.
The same identity is used from the Blog North Awards, with the * key used to signify a winner.
Blog North has been set up by stakeholders including Creative Tourist and Culture Vultures.
The first Blog North Awards will be held on 17 October as part of the Manchester Literature Festival, which is also a Mark client.
It’s great to see so much creativity in the North of England! A fantastic idea and design! Working for an art gallery in the North West – http://www.ascotstudios.com – it makes me very happy to see that there is not only innovative design and originality in London, but also in the North West. Lets keep promoting it!
These are neatly thought identity ideas. Keyboard typeface is simple, yet a proven approach by branding consultants to make the brand visible. Thanks for sharing!
