Rug addicts
Rug company Foundation is set to launch a new collection in October, featuring contributions from designers including Anthony Burrill, Pete Fowler and Si Scott.
Foundation has challenged some of its favourite artists and designers to create a rug for the first time.
Just 1 of the hand-made 1.5x2m rugs will be produced for the collection, with the rugs made in Foundation’s mill in Egypt. A further 20 limited-edition versions of each design will also be produced.
Paul Insect, who has created a design for the collection, says, ‘It’s not every day you get a chance to work with a process that is centuries old, and its better than all the T-shirt design offers I get weekly.’
The rugs will be available from www.foundationrugs.co.uk from October, priced from £800-£15 000.
