Start JudgeGill’s Russian projection mapping
Start Judge Gill has designed a interactive installation for beer brand Baltika ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
The installation is in the Russian Pavilion in London’s Hyde Park. The pavilion has been set up to showcase what the world can expect at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Start JG says it was asked to create a piece that would encourage people to visit Russia, engage all senses, ‘change human behaviour’ and celebrate Russia.
It has responded with a immersive 3D projection map which the public can walk through, triggering films and animations.
The moving image team at Start JG have created a wire-framed installation, consisting of three separate sculptures with moving light and images relaying brand messages and information about Russia.
Content was garnered from a Baltika ad campaign which looked to find out what makes Russians proud of their country, with additional content made up from other re-formatted Baltika ads, new animations, and user-generated content.
The installation is open until 12 August.
The way the panels dissect imagery is awesome. Add another dimension of intrigue.
It’s strange that there is no mention about the creative agency Leo Burnett Moscow which creat the idea to promote Baltika through such interactive installation. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151157971265833.491969.403425815832&type=1
It’s strange that there is no even mention about Leo Burnett Moscow and Arc Russia – the creator of the idea. The project took more than 8 monthes and the team is worth to be mentioned here.
