The Global Design Forum

The one-day event, on 18 September, will bring together a host of designers, design educators and organisations, who will attempt to define how and where design should position itself.

Attendees will include Thomas Heatherwick, Tom Dixon, Fuseproject founder Yves Béhar and head of Government digital services Ben Terrett.

The organisers say delegates will be encouraged to participate in the debates and speakers will be briefed to ‘challenge conventions and propose pioneering ideas as the world moves through a particularly challenging period.’

LDF is marking its 10^th anniversary this year, and the Global Design Forum harks back to the festival’s origins back in 2003.

For the inaugural LDF, a two-and-a-half-day World Creative Forum was held, which featured keynote speakers including Tim Berners-Lee, Antony Gormley and architect Daniel Libeskind.
