The exhibition, To London With Love, has been organised by wonderfully-monikered Robert Rubbish of illustration collective and publication  Le Gun, and will feature postcard sized works from Le Gun illustrators,  as well as a number of other London-based artists.

There was no set brief for the pieces – the only unifying idea is that all artists are London-based. According to Material Gallery, though, once the ‘collection of seemingly non-related inner noodling of the artists’ is shown as a whole, the works take on a ‘collective subconscious.’

Among the artists contributing to the show are Heretic printmakers, Alex Wright, Stephanie von Reiswitz, Hannah Bays,  Dr.D, Andrew James Jones, Harry Pye, Jerry Fox, Ana Kazaroff, and many more.

Renaissance man Pye is editor of The Rebel magazine, as well creating artwork and writing about the London art scene; while Dr D) makes street art using a cut-and-paste technique on existing notices and billboards, using advertising to make critical and humourous statements.

All the works are on sale for a very reasonable £10 each. Robert Rubbish is also collaborating with Material to produce the Robert Rubbish Introretrospectivce Book Of Over Sized Postcards, featuring work from 2007 until now, each with a hand painted and collaged cover.
