To Your Health
Toasting their surprise at ‘how well things have worked out so far’, illustration trio Hero Of Switzerland’s new exhibition is dedicated to your health.
Featuring illustrations, paintings, screen-prints and collage, all works are based on the loose theme To Your Health, which gives the show its title.
Reflecting the aesthetics of its setting in analogue camera brand Lomography’s basement gallery, all works have been produced in a strictly non-digital manner.
With such an open brief, the works cover a broad and baffling array of subjects.
There’s a charming cat illustration by Beck Liddiard:
Which comfortably shares gallery space with Russell Taysom’s retina-burning neon skull.
And who’s this? It’s Elton John, created by Adam Graff.
Also on display are works from illustrators including Dan Button (one of the contributors to the wonderful Thrill Murray colouring book, Becci Atkinson, Elizabeth Clements, Paul Bommer, Russell Taysom and Tom Camp, with his sweet cat-astronaut image.
To Your Health runs from 7 – 23 September at Lomography East London, The Basement Gallery, 117 Commercial Street, London E1. For more information visit heroofswitzerland.com
