Touchscreen mosaic
We’re big fans of digital procrastination here at Design Week, and the new Würfel-Mosaik app really pushes our buttons.
Based on the classic wooden Würfel-Mosaik game, popular in Germany, the app lets you create mosaics by aligning a series of cubes on a grid.
After you’ve created a pattern you can then flip over the mosaic, revealing a differently coloured but related pattern on the back.
The app has been created by Matt Watkins, creative director at Haunch of Venison, who apparently came up with the idea after coming across the original children’s game in a toy store in Switzerland.
The Würfel-Mosaic app is available from the iTunes store in Mini, Klassik, Alpha and Deluxe versions. For more information visit wurfelmosaik.com.
