Titled – you guessed it – Science & Fiction, the one-day exhibition will display a selection of strange and often quietly unnerving images, which have been put together in a beautiful book published by Black Dog Publishing.

For the exhibition, the photographs are being displayed alongside snippets of text by artists, novelists, academics and philosophers, taken from the book. Writer and artist Tom McCarthy will be speaking at the event.

Work Gallery says, ‘Through the channels of science and fiction—science as data, image algorithms and the surrender to technological temptations; and fiction as invention, construction and critique—these emerging photographers address the questions and tensions that surround the current state of the photographic image’.
