Award for NME art director

NME art director Joe Frost was named Art Director of The Year at the 2007 British Society of Magazine Editors Awards, held at the London Hilton and presented by BSME chair Jane Bruton and comedian Alan Carr.

Frost was instrumental in a major redesign of the music weekly last year. The judges were also impressed with a cover he art directed featuring Beth Ditto naked, which earned unlikely praise from Germaine Greer at the time.

‘I’m really pleased with the recognition for all the hard work we’ve put into NME this year,’ says Frost.
