Barcelona design event kicks off

Graphic, digital and product design luminaries from across the globe will come together today for Barcelona Design Week.

The business-focused five-day event, now in its second year, will feature design names including Nokia Multimedia vice-president Bill Sermon and Bureau of European Design Associations president Michael Thomson.

Graphic designer Steven Heller and director of design at Orange/France Telecom Clive Grinyer will also be among those hosting seminars.

A series of lectures discussing topics such as innovation in business, design management, innovation protection, sustainability and service design will aim to promote cross-collaboration between companies and design professionals.
