Former D&AD chief executive Michael Hockney has been drafted in as an adviser to The Brand Union. He will help the group implement a new business strategy, after its name change from Enterprise IG.

Chief executive John Mathers says the strategy will involve ‘looking at the quality of our staff, and ensuring that we are attracting world class design talent’. With managing creative director Glenn Tutssel, Hockney will review the performance of the group’s creative echelon, known as the Creative Council.

The Brand Union is making a raft of internal appointments. It has promoted client services director Simon Bailey to the new post of managing director. Craig Page-Lee will move from the group’s Johannesburg office to succeed Bailey, although the post has been renamed mana – ging client director. Five designers are also being promoted to design directors.
