E3 Media has designed an FA Cup website for the event’s main sponsor Eon.
The Bristol-based digital consultancy was appointed last month on the strength of its design of Eon’s UK site two years ago.
Launching today to coincide with the start of the second round of the FA Cup, the website accompanies a TV ad campaign created by TBWA.
‘Eon gave us a very open brief, so we decided to take our cues from the TBWA campaign, which we visited the shoot of and were inspired by,’ says E3 creative director Antony Webster.
The ad campaign pushes the FA Cup’s credentials as a family experience, featuring living room furniture arranged on the sidelines of a football pitch.
‘So often you see ads that have no synchronicity with their associated websites, which is something we wanted to avoid with this project,’ says Webster.
The rich-media website features games and competitions.
