Seymour Powell links up with Brash Brands in the Middle East

Seymour Powell is to collaborate on projects with Middle East branding consultancy Brash Brands after signing a strategic partnership with the group.

Brash Brands, which has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, was set up in 2007 by John Brash, former executive creative director and European board director of Landor Associates, and creative group head at Conran Design Group.

The consultancy works with clients including Burj Dubai and the Lebanese waste management company Averda.

Nick Talbot, director at Seymour Powell, says he hopes the partnership will lead to Seymour Powell picking up work in the Middle East and North Africa.

Talbot says, ‘At the moment, Seymour Powell has some presence in the Middle East. In our view, the best way to drive business in that region is to partner with a group there that has complementary skills.’

He adds, ‘It’s also to do with our shared business values and ethics, and good brains. If and when we work together on projects, I don’t think the split, in terms of skills, will be a line drawn in the sand.’

Talbot says that Seymour Powell, which is part of the Loewy network, already has strategic partnerships with manufacturers, but this is the first such tie-up with another design consultancy. See News Analysis
