The service is set to roll out across Cornwall early next year following testing in the Falmouth and Truro areas.
Nixon was appointed to the work around a year ago, having previously worked with Cornish Food Market founder Westcountry Fruit Sales.
The consultancy aimed to develop a brand that was ‘friendly, accessible and not too serious’, according to Nixon founder Martin Nixon.
Nixon says the website, at www.cornishfoodmarket.co.uk, was ‘the most complex site we’ve worked on’, due to retail demands such as lead times for item ordering and multiple ordering capabilities. He says, ‘We wanted it to have better functionality than established supermarkets’ sites.’
The consultancy worked with Truro-based Packet Ship Systems and Falmouth-based SNA Software Systems on the build of the site.
