Richard Clayton joins Coley Porter Bell as design director

Coley Porter Bell has appointed Richard Clayton as design director.

Former CPB design director Adam Ellis joined Elmwood’s London office earlier this month.

Clayton, who joins Coley Porter Bell next week, was previously associate director at Four IV, where he had worked for the past 12 years. In his new role, he will report directly to Coley Porter Bell creative director Stephen Bell.

Clayton says, ‘the new role will be an exciting and challenging opportunity for me. The culture at CPB is passionate, supportive and driven, with a belief in having some fun along the way.’

Bell says, ‘I especially like the fact that [Clayton] has a blend of corporate design and brand environment experience which makes him almost uniquely suited to designing brand worlds, which are going to be an increasingly important part of our business.’

CPB has also appointed Igor Astrologo as corporate designer, who also joins next week. He will be part of a team of three people, working closely with Clayton on corporate identity projects.

Astrologo previously worked at Minale Tattersfield, designing branded retail environments and corporate identity.
