Switch London creates Investec Test Cricket branding

Consultancy Switch London has created the sponsorship branding for Investec Test Cricket, which will be used following Investec’s announcement that it will sponsor English test cricket for the next 10 years.

Paul Mann, creative director at Switch London, says the new identity will be used ‘absolutely everywhere’, from tickets to posters to cricket ground billboards.

The identity will be used for county games and England test series, including the Ashes series against Australia.

The consultancy is also working on a new identity for the next Ashes series, which will take place in England in 2013, and individual projects for each test series.

South African-based consultancy Switch has been working with Investec for around four years, according to Mann, and the London office was briefed on the test cricket around three months ago.

Mann says the identity had to be approved by both Investec and the England and Wales Cricket Board, and that the consultancy therefore had to balance Investec’s brand guidelines, including the dark blue and light blue of the branding, with cricket detailing.

Investec replaces previous test cricket sponsor Npower.
