The Singapore office becomes the WPP consultancy’s third international hub, joining its London headquarters and a New York office, which opened in 2009.

The Singapore office will be headed up by Singapore managing director Anant Deboor, who has been working as in independent branding consultant based in Hong Kong and is a former strategic planning director at JWT.

Jim Prior, chief executive at The Partners, says the consultancy chose Singapore as its Asian hub as the city ‘has a higher understanding of creative thinking and the importance of design’.

Prior says that from Singapore, the consultancy can look to work with clients across China, India and other parts of Asia.

He says the consultancy is already working with a client in the region and will also look to work on regionalised projects for existing clients.

The new office opens today.
