Goodwin + Goodwin’s Shop of Type
The Shop of Type is for graphic designers, interior designers, architects, and as co-founder Paul Goodwin would have it, ‘basically everyone who loves type’.
Type consultants and designers Goodwin + Goodwin are opening the shop to sell their range of typographic home accessories and deskware, which includes everything from bookends and letter holders, to letters made up of lightbulbs that can be turned into any word of your choosing.
They’ll be using the shop opening to launch their newest range of ‘&’ themed desk accessories – ‘ideal gifts for those “difficult to find gifts for” designer friends,’ says Paul Goodwin.
There are going to be plenty of reclaimed vintage shop letters, mainly from the USA; all rewired and reconditioned for a new lease of life as table lamps or a wall display.
The Shop of Type will open for one week only from 18-23 November at the Corner Shop, 21 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1 with late night shopping on the Thursday.
