Outline Artists shapes up for inaugural show
Gallery Outline Editions’ new agency offshoot Outline Artists has been snapping up some of our favourite illustrators ahead of its inaugural show.
The agency is busying itself with commissioned client work but has also found time to show its wares in a gallery show.
Mr Bingo, generally described by us as something like ‘a rude and witty savant doodler’ is involved, as is Kristjana S Williams who is particularly fond of winged creatures, and who you might know for her collage jungle scenes.
Then there’s Hvass&Hannibal, Rob Bailey, Andreas Neophytou, and Edward Carvalho-Monaghan.
Carvalho-Monaghan is making a name for himself with work influenced by psychedelic music and the work of avant-garde filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky.
What does that look like? Well, this evidence would suggest a Cuban heeled shark with a perplexed fish on its lap.
New girl Jessica Das has created a flamboyance of flamingos, Rob Bailey has captured Star Trek’s Spock and Kirk having a cuddle – it’s lonely in space – and Andreas Neophytou finds that Good Times are straw-shaped.
The Outlines Artists showcase is from 13 November-5 December at Exposure Gallery, 22-23 Little Portland Street, W1.
