The Big Book of Anorak
Dubbed the ‘happy mag for kids’, here at Design Week we’d contest that beautiful publication Anorak is just as much a happy mag for grown ups.
Celebrating its seventh birthday, Anorak has released the Big Book of Anorak, which draws together a selection of the gorgeous illustrations and stories the magazine has published over the years.
As ever, it’s a whole lot of fun, with audience participation encouraged through games and fun drawing activities.
‘I set out to create a magazine that would follow children through childhood, something stylish and different, but with the timeless, collectable feel of the magazines and annuals I loved to read as a child’, says Anorak founder and editor, Cathy Olmedillas.
‘The Big Book of Anorak [is] a celebration of everything Anorak stands for; creativity, writing and good ol’ fashioned imaginative – ie. bonkers – stories.’
The hardback book is described as ‘the coffee table book for kids’ by its publishers and feature more than 200 full colour pages.
