The new look has been developed with ad agency Deutsch, and takes in a new identity, box designs, website and staff uniforms.
The Pizza Hut identity has been redrawn and the new tagline “The Flavor of Now” has been introduced.
The rebrand comes as Pizza Hut is overhauling its menu, introducing “ten new crust flavours” and “five new premium ingredients”.
Pizza Hut chief executive David Gibbs says: “Pizza Hut has been defining what’s possible with pizza since 1958 and our newest changes are the most significant we’ve made in our history.
“We are radically reinventing the pizza category with a menu transformation that more than doubles our amount of ingredients and flavours, a world-class digital ordering experience and an entirely new look and feel to our brand, all the way down to our uniforms.”
It is not known if or when the redesign might roll out to the UK.
The Pizza Hut rebrand comes after rival pizza chain Domino’s launched a new identity in 2013.
This saw it drop the words “Domino’s Pizza” from its identity and use a redrawn domino symbol in isolation.
And earlier this month KFC, which like Pizza Hut, is owned by Yum Brands, launched a new interior design concept in the UK.
