Creative sector does well in Best Companies list



Creative companies are well-represented in the top 100 Best Small Companies to work for listing, published this week by Best Companies and The Sunday Times.



Some 16 design, advertising, marketing, property and software companies made it on to the list. Glue London, St Luke’s Communication, Typhoon kitchenware design, urban planning agency Turley Associates, digital marketing agency Profero, BPTW Architects, architect Allsop, design and build company Castleoak Care, software developer Armstrong plus marketing companies The JJ Group. RPM and Iris all appeared, with JJ Group placed best at number 15.



Of the top 100 best medium-sized companies to work for, Arup and computer games company Jagex made it on to the listing, while no creative firms found their way into the 20 biggest companies list.


In related news, web design consultancy Nucleus made it into the Sunday Times Technology Track 100 league table this week, for the second consecutive year, making it the 76th fastest growing private technologty company in Britain.



A total of 657 companies took part in the Best Companies competition, with 150 000 staff interviewed about what it was like to work at their firms.
