Interbrand beefs up UK marketing team

Omnicom-owned branding consultancy Interbrand has appointed Deborah Fitzgerald (pictured), former media and communica tions director at the Design Council, as marketing director of its UK business.

Joining at the beginning of November, Fitzgerald’s appoint ment comes at a time of ‘significant’ growth for the business. She will lead the office in terms of developing a marketing plan for the future.

As part of this growth, Lizzy Stallard, Interbrand UK’s marketing consultant, has been promoted to associate director, marketing, for the UK office. She will work in partnership with Fitzgerald, as her deputy. Rune Gustafson, Interbrand UK chief executive, says, ‘We are excited about the combined leadership and direction that Deborah and Lizzy bring to our business. Their combined exp ertise will be critical in helping establish our growth plans.’

Prior to her role at the Design Council, Fitzgerald held senior marketing positions at the Hospital Group and Universal Studios Network. She has also held the role of director of communications at Landor Associates.

Stallard previously worked at Interbrand’s New York office for seven years, initially as a consultant and later within marketing.
