Wellington bootmaker Hunter has appointed branding consultancy Dave to create its next marketing campaign and refresh its retail concessions.
Dave beat integrated marketing groups Medicine Man and Exposure to win the contract.
Hunter has briefed the consultancy to create an online and print campaign that will help the traditional English brand to build on its recent success with young consumers, following the lead of celebrity welly fans such as Kate Moss and Keira Knightley.
According to Dave, Hunter hopes to appeal to young, urban families, ‘who mix the pace and glamour of the city with the more relaxed lifestyle of the countryside’.
The marketing campaign and point-of-sale and retail concession refresh will coincide with a forthcoming extended product range, which Hunter hopes will increase its popularity with overseas consumers.
Hunter has a presence in more than 1000 stores in the UK and the Channel Islands, including concessions in shoe chains Office and Russell & Bromley.
