Richard Woods overhauls Paul Smith Japan store

Paul Smith has teamed up with artist Richard Woods to overhaul the UK designer’s exhibition space in Japan.

The Wood Show, which will see Smith’s gallery space in Tokyo visually transformed with Woods’ distinctive printed laminate, opens tomorrow.

Woods, who worked with designer Sebastian Wrong to produce the 2007 Wrong Woods Collection for Established & Sons, has covered the gallery floor with a work called ‘logo’.

Also on show will be wallpaper, offcut inlays, a previously unseen green lamp and four new artworks by Woods.

The Wood Show runs until 30 November at the Paul Smith Space Gallery, 5-46-14 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.
