Design Week Awards judges named

The judging panel for the 2010 Design Week Awards has been confirmed.

The awards, which will be held on 2 March 2010, recognise creativity across design disciplines, and all shortlisted work is featured in the Design Week Awards supplement.

Chairing the interiors jury is Tim Molloy, head of the creative direction at the Science Museum. The panel is made up by Jason Bruges of Jason Bruges Studio, Phil Nutley of Corridor, Sarah Page of Household, Oliver Salway of Softroom and Jon Tollit of Gensler.

The product and furniture jury is chaired by Joe Ferry, head of design for Virgin Atlantic Airways. He is joined on the panel by David Godber, deputy chief executive of the Design Council, and James Mair from Viaduct.

The branding and wayfinding category is headed by Harriet Devoy, creative director, Marketing Communications EMEIA for Apple, and comprises Mark Elwood from Fallon and Simon Manchipp from Someone.

Adrian Shaughnessy, designer, writer, broadcaster and publisher, heads up the print category. He is joined by Jim Davies from Total Content, Bryan Edmondson from Sea Design, Design Week art director Sam Freeman, Sophie Thomas from Thomas Matthews, and Micha Weidmann of Micha Weidmann Studio.

The packaging and in-store panel is chaired by Jon Turner, head of design at Boots. He is joined by Bruce Duckworth from Turner Duckworth, and Kate Shaw from Crabtree & Evelyn.

Simon Waterfall, who founded digital consultancies Poke and Deepend, chairs the interaction panel. He is joined by Desirée Collier of Marsteller, Malcolm Garrett of Applied Information Group and Eva Rucki of Troika.

The overall chairman of the judges is Design Week editor Lynda Relph-Knight.
