Design Bridge shines at 2010 Pentawards

Design Bridge, Pearlfisher and Elmwood are among the UK winners at the 2010 Pentawards, an international competition which recognises excellence in packaging design.

Design Bridge received the special ‘agency of the year’ prize, given for having won the largest number of Pentawards in three consecutive years.

The consultancy also picked up three silver awards – one for its redesign of the Kapiti brand (pictured) for Fonterra, one of the world’s largest dairy companies – and a bronze award at the ceremony at the Belgo-EU Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo, in China.

Graham Shearsby, group creative director of Design Bridge, says, ‘Receiving the agency of the year Pentaward is a real testament to the commitment of our creative directors in our London, Amsterdam and Singapore studios.

‘They continually push creative excellence and seek out those great ideas. I feel extremely proud.’

Gold Pentawards were also awarded to Pearlfisher in the functional drinks category for its Ubershot packaging; and to Elmwood in the fish, meat and poultry section for its work for The Saucy Fish Company.

Other gold winners included Brandhouse, Here Design, LPK, Studio Davis and Turner Duckworth. Silvers were given to You and Stranger & Stranger, both in the beverages category.
