Festival fever comes to Cardiff

Cardiff has picked up the design festival baton from London, with the launch of the Cardiff Design Festival, which runs until 16 October and will see a host of design talent descend on the Welsh capital.

A touring exhibition of the 2010 Cardiff Design Festival showcase has launched, and overall winners will be announced on 15 October.

Olwen Moseley, director of the festival, says, ‘Our festival is being pitted alongside those in Milan and Istanbul, which shows the level of talent we have here in Wales. The showcase exhibition will eventually make an international tour so that we can share examples of best practice with our European counterparts.’

The festival opened on 1 October at the Senned in Cardiff Bay.
