Fitch set to open second India outpost

WPP consultancy Fitch is set to open a new office in Delhi, alongside its existing Indian outpost in Mumbai.

Fitch chief executive Lois Jacobs says the office will open by the end of the year and will service Delhi-based clients. Jacobs says an appointment has already been made to the office, and design operations will remain in Mumbai initially.

The consultancy’s Mumbai office was set up in 2007 and currently employs around 30 people. Clients include Vodafone (pictured) and Nokia, and Jacobs says, ’Its going very well for us.’

She adds, ’We’ve got a very strong position in Mumbai, but we work throughout India and with some Delhi-based clients, so we thought it would be helpful for us to be able to service them in Delhi.’

Interbrand has opened a new office in Mumbai and is currently planning a raft of appointments (DW 6 October). Conran & Partners is looking to set up a new office in the next few months to service the hospitality and residential design markets (DW 14 October).

Other consultancies currently operating in India include Saffron, which has an office in Mumbai, and Fitch’s WPP stablemates Landor and the Brand Union, which have offices in Mumbai and Bangalore respectively.

WWF and ASHA
The work of WWF includes regulating logging across the world, policing poaching, lobbying governments for Greener policies and working with businesses to reduce gas emissions

ASHA’s three areas of focus for WWF were: clarity, creating and building on the strength of WWF’s existing reputation and inspiring positive change. Adamson says, ’At a time when a small, but influential elite believe that proposed changes to the way we consume is the new Watergate, it’s an honour to work with an organisation that is determined to provide a living earth for our grandchildren to inherit’
