Lydia Thornley rebrands numeracy software Mathbase

Lydia Thornley has created a new identity for Mathbase, a numeracy software product which helps children and students with special educational needs improve their maths skills.

The consultancy was appointed at the beginning of the year after Mathbase product developer Richard Glemberg met Thornley through local business association HBV Enterprise, which is based in the London borough of Hackney.

Mathbase briefed the consultancy to create a fresh look for the company, which would still be recognisable but would excite current and new users, says Glemberg.

The new identity will be used on the company’s stationery, software product packaging and on screen and on the company’s website, which is tailored to teachers and parents.

The new identity features bright colours and a new strapline ‘Get busy with numbers’. The consultancy is currently creative guidelines for Mathbase on how to apply the new identity, before its launch in January.
