New products launch at Orgatec

Biennial office design event Orgatec is running in Cologne, Germany, this week, featuring new launches from UK designers Pearson Lloyd, Jonathan Prestwich and Colebrook Bosson Saunders, among others.

Orgatec runs at the Cologne Exhibition Centre until 30 October and showcases international office furniture designs.

Pearson Lloyd is launching the Parcs Phonebooth (pictured), for Austrian office furniture company Bene, which is an addition to the Parcs office furniture collection launched by the consultancy last year (www.designweek. co.uk 9 October).

Pearson Lloyd says the free-standing, semi-acoustic booth has been created as a place to take personal or confidential mobile phone calls.

The consultancy has also designed the Lox Chair for Walter Knoll, which has been in development for two years. Pearson Lloyd previously designed the Lox Bar Stool for Walter Knoll.

The Edge Accessories have been created by Pearson Lloyd for Danerka, to build on the Edge Table it also designed for the company. The Edge Accessories range is described by the consultancy as ’a flexible storage and screening solution’.

Prestwich has designed a new chair made from solid ash for Dutch furniture company Arco. He describes the chair as ’a modern take on a traditional wooden stack chair’.

Designer and manufacturer Colebrook Bosson Saunders is launching the Flo dynamic monitor arm, which it says allows a flat screen to be used in an upright viewing position, at desktop level, as a touch-screen or anywhere inbetween.

Mark Gabbertas has designed the Haven seating range for Allermuir, which is exhibiting as part of the Senator Group.

Other UK-based exhibitors include Icon Office Design and Silverline Office Equipment.
