Inspired by the Piet Oudolf-designed garden in Peter Zumthor’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion, a steller line-up including Peter Saville, Alice Rawsthorn and Paul Smith will be creating and presenting garden-inspired work in a geodesic dome outside the gallery.

Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, the line-up also features mathematician Marcus de Sautoy, film-maker Adam Curtis, artist Wolfgang Tillmans and (an expert in the field) garden designer Dan Pearson.

The Serpentine says the event will explore ‘the significance of the garden in our experience of the world, as well as cutting-edge research in biodiversity, conservation and genetics’.
