The groups say they are entering into ‘a merger of equals’ which will result in newly combined consultancy MRM Meteorite, which will have more than 160 employees.
The new group will operate as a multi-disciplinary digital and direct response agency. Meteorite, which has more than 70 employees, has previously worked on branding and graphics campaigns alongside marketing projects.
Hugh Bishop, former chairman of Meteorite and now chief executive of MRM Meteorite, says, ‘We are delighted and proud to join forces with MRM London and believe the merger will bring together complementary skill sets to create a truly unique offering for clients as well as providing exciting opportunities for everyone involved.’
MRM will be located in MRM London’s offices in Bankside, with the move set to complete by the end of the year.
In August, McCann Worldgroup acquired digital consultancy Allofus, which has moved to the McCann London building in Bloomsbury.
