Czech design hits London
There’ll be a chance to see the best emerging Czech design talent in London next week.
The show Czeggs – as its conflated name hints – is all about bringing bright young things into the world.
Student and graduates of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín will be showing work in graphic, interactive, photographic, product, furniture and packaging design.
Consultancy Little Greta, which was founded by alumni of the faculty, is behind the idea. Having established itself in the Czech Republic it now has offices in London and Scotland.
Little Greta maintains close links with the university and through Czeggs has found a way for young Czech designers to roost alongside the consultancy and its clients.
Jan Blazek, head of team at Little Greta and marcom alumni of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, says, ‘As a student I always loved getting my hands on real projects, so I am glad to be able to give the same chances to student talent – only this time on a global rather than local scale.
Czeggs runs at Frameless Gallery in Clerkenwell Green, EC1 from 21 – 27 October 20 Clerkenwell Green.
