Herb Lester and Instagram team up for city guide series

City Guide publisher Herb Lester has partnered with Instagram to create “off the beaten track” travel recommendations inspired by Instagrammers.


Paris, Berlin and London are the first guides to be published and will feature photographs from Instagrammers based in each city.


The books have been designed in Herb Lester’s trademark illustrative style and the first set of books have been worked on by illustrator Brice Beasley.


Each guide brings Instagram pictures back into the offline world and features up to a dozen destination tips.


Instagram community manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa Hannah Waldram says: “These guides encompass everything which is delightful, surprising, inspiring and exciting about the Instagram community and how it can show you a window to a new place, and how Instagrammers can take you on a tour of their local area.


“I hope people will not only find them useful, but also use them as a starting point to discovering a world of wonder, and top location recommendations, on Instagram.”

The three new guides will be available via Instagram’s InstaMeet events.
