Heatherwick wins Shanghai pavilion task

Heatherwick Studio has just been announced as the winner of the competition to build the British pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.



It will work with Adams Kara Taylor, Atelier Ten and Casson Mann on the project.



Heatherwick beat competition from Avery Associates, Draw Architects, Zaha Hadid, John McAslan & Partners and Marks Barfield Architects.



An exhibition of the shortlisted designs ran until 6 September at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
