Jones takes helm at Navyblue

Navyblue has appointed Phil Jones, founder of Real Time consultancy, as chairman.

The move follows a long-standing partnership between the consultancy and Jones, who has been working with Navyblue’s London office in an advisory capacity for around three years.

This is the first time Navyblue has appointed a group chairman, although up until last summer Jim Faulds held the position of chairman of the Edinburgh operation.

Jones has been appointed with a remit to help further Navyblue’s global offer, while building on the growing portfolio of non-UK based clients, such as the recent rebranding for Hungary’s Magyar Radio.

‘Navyblue is continuing to capitalise on its growing portfolio of international clients, building the business into one that has a real international focus,’ says Jones. ‘My role will be to help the board steer that course.’

Joint managing director of Navyblue Doug Alexander says ‘Phil has played a key part in advising us and the benefits are already paying off. Crucially, he has helped to open the door to a number of new clients and prospects.’

In August, Jones took up the post of chairman of digital consultancy Reading Room .
