NLA looks at future of hotels

The future of hotel development in London is the inspiration for an exhibition and talk series, ‘Away from Home: New Hotels in London’, which opens today.

The event, organised by New London Architecture, comes at a time when hotel development in London is hitting an unprecedented high, ahead of the Olympics in 2012.

Influential figures from all tiers of the hospitality industry will be brought together to discuss the ways in which the industry is responding to consumer demand, as well as new concepts and approaches to branding and design.

Brands such as Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Thistle, Hilton, Marriott, Dubai group Jumeirah and other boutique names will be exhibiting their latest concepts.

Peter Zenneck from Jumeirah, Stelios Haji-loannou from Easyhotel, James Bidwell from Visit London and Gerard Greene, founder of Yotel, will be among the speakers hosting the breakfast talks series.

The exhibition and supplementary talks series aims to provide an information resource for the public, professionals and politicians on the extensive change happening in the capital.

Away from Home runs from 6 September until 27 October at New London Architecture, London WC1.
