Because creates Ramadan Festival posters

Dutch consultancy Because has designed four posters to promote inter-cultural event Ramadan Festival 2008.

The posters, based on the Ramadan Festival icon of a Muslim family, depict four family groups from different cultural backgrounds.

Because, the social design division of Koeweiden Postma, claims that this is intended to underline the theme of this year’s event, which is, ‘the Ramadan Festival is for everyone’.

Not to be confused with the religious holiday Ramadan, which began yesterday, The Ramadan Festival was founded in 2005 by Dutch management consultancy Mexit to promote understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims.

The festival takes place in more than 40 cities in the Netherlands, and this year comes to London, Oslo and Zürich for the first time.

Because has worked on branding and marketing materials since the event’s inception.

Ramadan Festival began yesterday and ends on 30 September. For further details, visit www.ramadanfestival.nl.
