In a week where Manchester City has seldom been out of the headlines following its Abu Dhabi United Group takeover, Lake has created graphics and event branding for the football club and its sponsor HealthSure.


In a week where Manchester City has seldom been out of the headlines following its Abu Dhabi United Group takeover, Lake has created graphics and event branding for the football club and its sponsor HealthSure.


The Manchester design consultancy has been designing the look and feel of a Healthsure health insurance service targeting City fans.


Speaking about the implications of the takeover for Lake’s design work, creative director of the consultancy, Steve Barwise says, ‘The thought is it may increase the amount [of work]. [Healthsure] has a strong association with City.’


Lake won the business in June through its sister company Mere, having worked with HealthSure on other projects for the past five years.


The project is ‘worth about £15 000’, according to Barwise,


Part of the work has involved clarifying the roles of Healthsure and Manchester City brands and highlighting the partnership between them.


‘There are very strong rules for the Man City brand, but through HealthSure’s association with City, we’re certainly working with two brands,’ says Barwise.
