Manchester creative wins Get Yourself Noticed award

Designer Martyn Mills has won first prize at the Konica Minolta Get Yourself Noticed graphic design awards.

The independent Manchester designer took the honour for his Roots of Emotion design, chosen from ten other finalists, at an event last night in London’s Piccadilly, W1.

The final ten were whittled down from 150 entries by a judging panel comprising specialists from a cross-section of media and marketing publications.

Mills, who sees himself as a ‘creative, graphic designer and urban artist’, will have his work displayed on billboards in London’s High St Kensington, W8 and Shoreditch, E1.

Working to a brief to ‘envisage the future of graphic design’, Mills’ design shows his vision of a future where nature and technology converge.

Yulia Brodskaya was awarded the runners up prize for her piece, entitled London.
