JKR tailors packaging for new Penhaligon’s perfume
JKR has designed the packaging for boutique perfumer Penhaligon’s new fragrance, Sartorial.
The fragrance was inspired by the tailors’ workrooms of London’s Savile Row, and JKR’s packaging aims to reflect this through an elegant, modern design.
Sarah Harvey, designer at JKR, says, ‘The design takes you on a journey from traditional to contemporary moving through the thread, providing an angular and masculine expression.
‘The materials used provide a lovely depth, with flecks and fibres creating the feel of a luxurious suit.’
JKR used a Fedrigoni paper stock for the outer box, and used the signature Penhaligon’s bow on the bottle.
Sarah Rotheram, chief executive of Penhaligon’s, adds, ‘We were delighted that the final product remained a constant thread to the inspiration for the fragrance.
The perfume delivers the atmosphere and experience of the tailors, and the packaging really brings that story to life.’
Sartorial will launch on 11 October.
This looks fantastic.
I want to drink it
It’s not for drinking, it’s a perfume.
